Found my first Blue-bordered Carpet on the garden fence yesterday evening.

I've been trying my hardest to make this one Depressaria badiella, but can't quite convince myself that it's not duacella??

    I really wouldn't like to say without dissection on this one. It certainly could be badiella.

    Bizarrely, I got one last night in Cardiff which looks just the same. I'm going to dissect it - will let you know the outcome.

    I've never mailed a moth before, common sense no doubt, but probably best to advise me on how to package it? Presume that 10mins or so in the freezer is an ok way to dispatch it?

    i'll email details to you, but stick it in the freezer for now - 10mins might be sufficient for some moths but these things hibernate!
