This Ringlet was the second of only two butterflies I saw all weekend, the other being a Small Skipper. Unusually for me the photo came out rather well!
Coincidentally, while working today, I saw a Ringlet posed beautifully on a flower in a client's garden. It had its wings fully open as it basked, showing off the upper-side of the wings. Working as I was, I didn't have a camera to hand... One of many such lost opportunities, sadly.
Nice photo. I've had much luck with photographing Ringlet.
