Llandaff North - GMS

Things finally starting to pick up a bit after a lean spell, with this smart little oecophorid, Agonopterix alstromeriana, new for the garden last night:


And earliest garden records for Muslin moth and Small Pheonix. Also this worn tortricid - any ideas anyone? Looks a bit like Clepsis consimilana but surely too early - perhaps just postvittana?

  1. George - another possibility for the tortricid is Aphelia viburnana? I saw a couple of those last year, the first on 12th June.

  2. Without checking the book, I'm not sure, but it has a prominent costal fold. I'd say it's a Clepsis, but you should probably dissect it.
