Nothing in Bridgend

No, its not a mis-print that should say mothing in Bridgend! We actually only had four moths in the trap this morning - very disappointing when our hopes were high. One each of CM Carpet, Angle Shades, Silvery and Sq Spot Rustic. The highlight therefore was the early morning southward trickle of Redwing, Meadow Pipit, Linnet and Siskin high over the garden.

  1. I only had four moth of four species in the trap on Saturday morning: Epiphyas postvittana, Autumn Green Carpet, Large Yellow Underwing and Yellow-line Quaker.
    Chilly nights.

  2. Not much better in Creigiau. 6 moths of 6 species - a very battered Brimstone, Angle Shades, Common Marbled Carpet, Light Emerald, Large Ranunculus and Willow Beauty.
