Autumn comes to Bridgend

We caught 56 moths of 17 species last night, again dominated by 9 Lesser and 25 Large Yellow Underwings. New for the year giving an autumnal feel were Garden Rose Tortrix, Dusky Thorn, Canary-shouldered Thorn, Sallow and Centre-barred Sallow (=179YT). Also of interest were Vine's Rustic and 2 very nice Light Emerald.

A Siskin flew south over calling in the morning and later this afternoon, Red Admiral and a female Brimstone were at the Budleia and Potentilla in the garden.
