Last night at Broughton (8W Actinic)

Just 16 moths of 9 species in the trap:-1 Pyrausta despicata, 2 Agriphila tristella, 2 Archer's Dart, 1 White-line Dart, 1 Yellow Belle, 1 Flounced Rustic, 2 Lesser Yellow Underwing, 3 Small Square-spot and 3 Feathered Gothic. Later on up on the Burrows we saw 2 Silver Y.


10 sp Butterflies on the wing today: Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Peacock, Small White, Small Blue, Common Blue, Comma, Small Heath, Speckled Wood, Meadow Brown.

Other interesting things: Large Red-tailed Bumble Bee, Common Carder Bumble Bee, Marmalade Hoverfly.
