Pheromones for Forester

I have been contacted by a PhD student that wants people to test a new pheromone lure for Forester moths. They have volunteers from most of the UK vice counties, but as yet no takers from Glamorgan (or Carmarthenshire). If you are interested let me know and I can pass you details on to the student. The idea is to test he lures on sites that may or may not have Foresters on them, prefereably two sites in the county during a two week period in June/July. Dave

  1. Hi Dave. Do they have any sites in Northern Ireland? People do sometimes forget we are part of the UK! We could probably use some over here, as there is a possibility I may be doing some surveying on a site that has a known but decling population of Foresters.

  2. Ireland is not on his map - I'll forward you their email so you can find out if they'd like to expand their research across the Irish Sea.

  3. Thanks Dave! I'll just check with Catherine at BCNI first, but will get in touch one way or the other!
