Bridgend last night

 We recorded 62 moths of 31 species last night. The highlight was Caloptilia stigmatella, new and the 406th species for the garden. . As well as Double Square-spot and Heart and Club pictured below, other moths new for the year were Celypha Striana, Chrysoteuchia culmella, Bee Moth, Grey Pug, Double-striped Pug, Garden Carpet, Small Phoenix, Peppered Moth, The Flame, White Ermine, Light Arches, Marbled Minor (agg), Small Angle Shades, Straw Dot and Snout.


A Large Skipper butterfly visited the garden this evening to feed on a Clematis flower - this  was a new species (19th) for the garden.
