Obscure Wainscot at Forest Farm

The highlight of a joint Butterfly Conservation-BugLife event at Forest Farm today was this Obscure Wainscot, which was in a 15W actinic trap left out overnight. I think this is the first Cardiff record. It seems likely to have come from the small reedbeds at the site.

Other nice moths in the traps included Figure of Eighty, Purple Clay and Pandemis cinnamomeana.
