Last night in Bridgend

We caught 130 moths of 59 species, the highlights of which were 3 new moths for the garden in Capotriche marginea, Grey Arches and surprisingly Marsh Oblique-barred. The garden list now stands at 433 species (466 trappings across 14 and a half years).

Among an excellent variety of pretty moths, also new for the year were Coleophora lineola, Garden Rose Tortrix, Blastobasis lacticolella, Phoenix, May Highflyer, V-Pug, August Thorn, Lesser Yellow Underwing, Grey Dagger, Scarce Silver-lines (3rd record last in 2012) and Nut-tree Tussock.
