Wet to begin with, and windy for most of it, but it was a relatively mild night (7.30 C), so I wasn't too surprised to see a Pale Brindled Beauty sitting on the vanes of the trap, this morning. I also wouldn't have been surprised if that was the one and only moth for the night. Inside the trap, however, were a Dotted Border and a tattered Chestnut.
Three moths; what a treat, but unfortunately, the blustery wind made photographing them impossible, so no pretty pics, I'm afraid.

Parc Slip and elsewhere
Just the one moth in the trap yesterday morning - a chestnut - but nice to see a couple of butterflies on the wing in the sunshine today - a comma and a red admiral around Pentyrch/Morganstown.

A Brace of Moths for WGMS
Friday night, so despite the wind and rain, the trap was run for the winter GMS, but although it was wet and windy when I went to bed and the same when I got up, it must have cleared at some point overnight, because the temperature dropped to 2.40 C.
I wasn't expecting anything other than a few flies in there, this morning, but lo and behold, there was an Early Moth and a Chestnut. It just goes to show.

Finally a moth (2 even) in the trap this morning - one Mottled Umber and one Agonopterix umbellana (only the second recorded here)
