Bonvilston

Llanishen

A warm and productive night in Llanishen, with 20 species, a fair few new for the year: Common Swift, Cinnabar, White Spotted Pug, Argyrethia trifasciata, Turnip, Setaceous Hebrew Character, Epiblema cynosbatella, Eudonia angustea.

The Lep list for the garden this year now stands at 82(including butterflies).

Computer problems

If anyone else is running a 64 bit computer system, don't accept the option to update to Internet Explorer 9 which Microsoft is offering as part of it's standard updates. It's not compatible with Google Blogger and will prevent you posting to this site. Looks like the public are doing MS's beta testing!

Adam

Rhoose Point

From Thursday night, 17 Cream-spot Tigers and the first Silver Y and Heart and Dart of the year.

Micropterix calthella

Dichrorampha montanana.
Also - Cydia nigricana, Grapholita compositella and Elachista argentella.

Graig yr hyvan, Senghenydd

Trapped at this site for the first time last night. Not a bad start with 21 species to actinic/sheet, including Mottled Pug, Water Carpet, Chocolate-tip, Pale-shouldered Brocade, Angle Shades (haven't seen one of those for a while), Turnip, Bright-line Brown-eye and this noctuid, which I think might be another Glaucous Shears?
Comments much appreciated.
