Creigiau - 25 October

Like Vaughan, I had the best catch for a couple of months last night. Not the same quantity, but I was more than happy with 17 moths of 11 species - especially as 4 of them were Merveille du Jour! Three moths made their first appearance of the year - Barred Sallow,  Phyllonorycter messaniella (if my ID is correct) and Red-green Carpet. The other highlight was the unexpected appearance of Pseudargyrotoza conwagana - all my previous records of this have been in June & July.

    I had conwagana in Carms on 28/10 - and various other species are appearing unusually late too.

    P messaniella looks good to me Howard. I had one a couple of days ago too.
