Set the trap on tuesday night and had a much better catch than recently with 70-odd moths of 19 species. New for the year were
common wave,
brimstone,
small phoenix,
coxcomb prominent,
dark-barred twin-spot carpet and
buff-tip. Most common was brindled beauty with 19.
Of the 19, 4 were micros: Epinotia immundana (9), Ancylis badiana, Digitivalva pulicariae and Phyllonorycter rajella (thanks to Paul Parsons for help with the micros).
Also some garden tiger and drinker caterpillars in evidence in the meadows
