Disappointing catch this morning given that it didn't drop below 12 last night - the mildest since mid-September. Only 3 moths with the first
December moth of the year and the first
Phyllonorycter messaniella for a couple of years joined by yet another
November agg.
Only a single Epiphyas postvittana in my garden trap, this morning and even here, the minimum overnight was 11.50C.
ReplyDeleteA year ago, we were being battered by a succession of atlantic storms and ex hurricanes, the prelude to two months of atrociously wet and windy weather, so maybe the lack of moths is due, in part, to the poor breeding conditions, last autumn and first half of last winter.
