After a return of
nuls points on what seemed a promising night last week, it was good to finally get the 2012 garden list off the mark this morning with 1
Agonpterix heracliana (underwing examined), 1
Tortricoides alternella, 2 Chestnuts and a Common Quaker.
After catching 35 moths of 12 species in Cornwall on Saturday night, I'm considering giving up on garden trapping for a while - too many depressingly empty traps!
ReplyDeleteBest I had down there was Agonopterix yeatiana, new for me, and 3 very early Water Carpets.
