41 species in the trap at Parc Slip on tuesday night plus a cockchafer and Nicrophorus humator. Nothing massively exciting but the reserve's second record of a shoulder-striped wainscot was the most unusual species for me.
There was also this pug...common or is it a bit small?
That's a nasty one - possibly Slender, but it always nice to see trickier species in life I find.
ReplyDeleteHi there. This is a Larch Pug.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Ben
Should Larch Pug not have a white thoracic spot?
ReplyDeleteHmm good point, forgot about that...
ReplyDeleteCould be Valerian Pug, but wouldn't like to say for certain from the photo.
ReplyDeleteOK no problem, thanks all
