Creigiau 18 April

A good forecast, so put the box out last night and, with a min temperature of 8.6C , I was rewarded with 33 moths of 11 species. Highlights were a very nice Lunar Marbled Brown

Lunar Marbled Brown

and a Gracillariidae which I haven't been able to identify

  1. Looks like Caloptilia betulicola / elongella (these usually need dissecting to separate).

  2. Thanks George. As the only two plain orange/brown ones with 'hairy' legs they were favourite .... I'll just log it as Caloptilia sp.
