I think this is probably a Light Brown Apple Moth? If so is it out and about rather early?



Barry - if you are reading this you'll see I found a piece of shelly limestone which does indeed improve the pics!

    Yes this is a Light Brown Apple Moth, which has actually been recorded in all months in Glamorgan. There are overlapping generations, which feed on almost any type of plant out there (I've even had them indoors on Tradescantia), with peaks in May-June and Aug-Sep.
