Adam - very aesthetic ;o) Yes this is a Light Brown Apple Moth, which has actually been recorded in all months in Glamorgan. There are overlapping generations, which feed on almost any type of plant out there (I've even had them indoors on Tradescantia), with peaks in May-June and Aug-Sep.
