I'm pleased to see that some migrants are being seen in the county. I had a single Silver Y last night toadd to my Diamond-back yesterday. Did get a few new for the year though, including Swallow-tailed and Smoky Wainscot, but nothing to really get excited about. My brother on the other had, in Burnham-on-Sea (almost due south from Cardiff) had Small Marbled.


  1. Hi Dave, I'll post a photo later, but subject to verification I think I had 2 Small Marbled here last night. Also 2 x Silver Y, plus a Ni which I guess is most likely the one I caught the other night returning again. I've also had Diamond-backs this year, but haven't seen any in the last week or two.

  2. And there may be a Small Mottled Willow too...
