Things are improving slowly here with 15 species last night, albeit with low numbers of individual moths compared to last year. Amongst the catch was this worn Cream-spot Tiger - good enough to compete with Barry's Bengal moths I think!
Other highlights were a Pale Prominent, a first for the garden record, and new for the year include Cypress Pug, Common Swift, Lime-speck Pug, Rustic Shoulder-knot and Garden Carpet.
You seem to be the only person in the county who catches these!
ReplyDelete18 on one night last year! The open grassy coastal habitat here fits the description in Waring & Townsend to a 'T' though.
