Bute Park moth morning

Tonight I'll be setting 2-3 moth traps in the Nursery / Education Centre at Bute Park, ready for tomorrow's Friends of Bute Park Wildlife Day.

I'll be empting the traps between 10am and 11am tomorrow  (15th) if anyone fancies coming along - forecast looks good for tonight, though it looks like it'll be raining in the morning.

I think this will be the first trapping in Bute Park since 2003, so it'll be interesting to see what turns up, even if the rain puts a few people off...

  1. I may come along if it's not pouring down George, but I will have my 4 yr old with me, is that OK? Also, what's the easiest way to access the site?

  2. I think most of the audience will be 4 year olds so that will be fine!

If you're coming in a car you can park for free in the Pontcanna playing fields car park off Cathedral Rd (ST166775), but it's a bit of a walk down to the education centre (ST176771). I think anywhere closer and you'd have to pay - but I'm not too sure as I always cycle from home.
