  1. I've now done the maths, and it's as I suspected. Since I started trapping here in May 2010 I've recorded 101 pug moths, and Foxglove pug has been the most frequent (38), followed by V-pug (21), Common Pug (13) and Grey Pug (12). All of the Brindled Pugs I recorded (6) were in 2011 when conditions in Spring were very favourable, whereas the Spring weather in 2012 and 2013 has not been good for trapping and I have missed out on some of the species I might have expected to get, including Brindled Pug, and possibly Double-striped Pug as well. The other pug species I have on record are Mottled (1), Wormwood (2), Currant (1), White-spotted (3), Oak-tree (1), Green (2) and Double-striped (1).
