Common Gromwell

This may encourage / help any prospective larvae hunters...Whiteford perhaps looks the most promising?

  2. Thanks for the posting Barry. MapMate tells me that the north Cardiff dot is at Southview, Tongwynlais, so I'll try and nip over there if I get chance.

  3. Checked the gromwell at Tongwynlais today - no larvae or feeding damage, but not surprising as there were only a few plants at the site.

    I did see a Clouded Yellow by way of compensation.

  4. I noticed a fair amount of Common Gromwell in the Alun Valley this year whilst looking for butterflies. The grid ref was approx SS908758. Might be worth checking there?
