This little beauty came to the trap last night. Looking on the Data Access Tool there are only two other sites in Wales where this has been recorded ..... so Creigiau strikes again! Will try and get some better pictures later.
It is the Local Environmental Records Centre (LERC) Wales Data Access Tool - you can link to it from the SEWBReC homepage. Amongst other things it lets you see species distribution maps in Wales.
There is an error in the code that means the no all the records are showing up. I'm in the process of fixing this, so the rest of the micella records show up tomorrow! The new version of the toolkit is called Aderyn (http://aderyn.lercwales.org.uk/), and we'll be publicising this once a few bugs are ironed out.
Nice moth Howard. Data access tool? Is that mapmate?
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul.

Thanks Dave. No matter how many have been seen in Wales, it is still a very nice moth and a first for me and our garden.
