Mark Evans and I had a successful session at Coed y Bedw last night. The temperature was 14C at dusk and fell to around 11C when we packed up 4 hours later - a big improvement on the previous week, and more moths as a result.
We had around 50 species in total between two MVs and one Actinic, the best of which were Barred Hook-tip, Orange Footman, Scorched Wing and a good selection of prominents and pugs. Among the micros the highlights were the tiny Phylloporia bistrigella (x3) and Eulia ministrana (x2).
