Out of County - clearwing

Here's a shot of a little Clearwing moth that was doing front crawl across the swimming pool one morning in Cyprus during my recent holiday.  I have never seen one close up before and was surprised to see how much they don't actually look like a moth!  When I have a few minutes I will see if I can work out what it is!

    Stunning moth Adam. There's a list of Cyprus clearwings on this website (don't know how complete this is though):

    Looking at illustrations of these in the 'Handbook of Palaearctic Macrolepidoptera' Vol 1, Synansphecia/Pyropteron leucomelaena looks the closest.
