This came to light before the rain on Monday evening.
I'm hoping I have correctly identified it as Parornix scoticella, mainly down to the white palps.
Any other ideas?
These are really tough to separate as adults. And with the best features being on the underside of the forewing cilia I would be reluctant to put a confident name to a photograph. I wasn't aware of the palps being diagnostic, but that doesn't mean that they aren't!
