Took two mv traps to Crymlyn for 3 hours in the humid and very midgy evening. Around 90 species but I probably missed a few in the buzzing clouds. Best of the evening for me were Dentated Pug and two I'd not seen before
Pseudopostega crepusculella (3rd VC41 record) and
Gynnidomorpha alismana (2nd VC41 record). Also
Phtheochroa inopiana which I have only seen once before. Beautiful Hook-tip and Beautiful China-mark I've not seen in Wales before either.

Sounds like a good night Chris.
ReplyDeleteIt was! A shame I couldn't have left the traps overnight but always good to see new stuff.
