Porthcawl

We ran a moth, bat and glow-worm night near Wigfach on friday. We only left the trap out until about midnight and it was quite breezy but we managed 26 species in tricky conditions (lots of people around and very lively moths so couldn't do much in the way of micros).
A lifer for me in the form of a scarlet tiger was popular when passed round in a pot, as were brimstones and cockchafers...other moths new for the year for me were male and female bee moths, marbled green and plain golden Y.
